Stop worrying about sweat problems with Botox Injections for Excessive Sweating.
Botox for Hyperhidrosis
Botox injections can be a good way to treat excessive sweating, or hyperhidrosis. When Botox is injected into the underarms, it blocks the nerve signals that tell sweat glands to make sweat, stopping them from creating too much. Hyperhidrosis can also happen in other parts of the body like the hands, forehead, and feet. No matter where it is, using Botox can help control it, making life better for those dealing with this condition.

Injecting Botox into the underarms is a technical task but less risky than using it for beauty purposes. To ensure we treat the right areas, we use a special test with starch and iodine that shows us where the excessive sweating is happening. I've found through experience that this test is really important.
Before the treatment, we numb the area for 20 minutes to make sure it's comfortable. Then we use the starch-iodine test to identify the treatment areas, and then we inject the Botox.

We know that Botox, a type of medicine, can help reduce wrinkles when injected into the muscles. Interestingly, it can also be used to treat too much sweating, or hyperhidrosis, especially in the underarms, palms, and soles of the feet. To do this, we dilute the medicine a lot and inject it just under the skin (not into the muscle) to block sweat glands. This specific way of using Botox is called microtox.
Usually, to treat underarm sweating, we start with 35 units of Botox per arm and slowly increase it until we see improvement. Each underarm might need a different dose. The goal is to use the smallest effective dose to keep costs low and avoid wasting medicine.

Once we figure out the right dose, you'll only need the treatment 1-2 times a year because the effects last for about 6-9 months and usually start to show within a week after treatment.
