Routine As a Key to Good Skin

It’s all about results. During the consultation process I like to know your skin care goals. Commonly I hear: evening out skin tone, fine lines and wrinkles, decreasing pore size, acne scarring, and acne. I have services to offer like microneedling, botox, filler, and PRP, and I’m excited to add the Jan Marini Skin Care line to the toolbox. I chose Jan Marini because it is results driven and researched based.

I introduce to you the Skin Care Management System. Habitual use of this system, often customized, has demonstrated to reduce the appearance of photodamaged skin, fine lines and wrinkles, acne scarring, hyperpigmentation, and redness.
Included in the system:

  • Cleanse with Bioglycolic Face Cleanser: glycolic acid cleanser designed to open the pores to allow deeper penetration of products to follow. Formulated with 12% glycolic acid to provide a deep cleanse. Glycolic acid has been shown to help with hyperpigmentation (1), acne (2), and fine lines and wrinkles (3). We have to be super careful to wear sunscreen when we use glycolic acid because it makes our skin more susceptible to photodamage (4). Apply this facial cleanser to a dry face and remove it with a washcloth. I love the tingle this product offers with use; it really feels like something is happening!

  • Rejuvenate with C-ESTA Serum: lipid soluble form of vitamin C plus DMAE for a lifted and defined look for facial contour. Vitamin C is shown to be essential for the healthy functioning of the skin. It provides protection against free radical damage, protection from UV damage, enhances collagen production, and more (5). This is a lipid form of vitamin C for better absorption and tolerance. It also contains DMAE, or dimethylaminoethenyl, an antioxidant and precursor to acetylcholine. Use of DMAE has been documented to increase skin firmness (6).

  • Resurface with Bioclear Face lotion: This is a unique and powerful combination of acids: 12% glycolic, 2% salicylic, 1% azelaic. This product really addresses the textural concerns like fine lines and wrinkles and acne scarring. Glycolic goes deep into the skin and encourages collagen production (7), salicylic acid helps with acne and redness (8), and azelaic acid addresses hyperpigmentation (9).

  • Hydrate with Transformation or Age Intervention Face Cream: Contains growth factors TGF Beta-1 plus Thymosin Beta-4 and provides healing and repair that encourage collagen and elastin (10), reduced free radicals, and enhanced cellular repair (11). Which product to choose is dependent on your skin quality.

  • Protect with Marini Physical Protectant SPF 45

This all comes in one kit and we can customize as needed. For example, we commonly add a retinol to address fine lines, acne, or hyperpigmentation. The kit currently costs $310 for about six months of product. I offer complimentary virtual consultations if you would like guidance here. You can purchase in the office or direct through my online pharmacy. I’ve been using this system personally for about a month, and I’m liking it; I’m excited to share this with you.
