Fall into Detox

To detoxify is to support the body’s natural process of rendering chemicals, compounds, hormones, and toxicants less harmful. The body has organs of detoxification that work to lessen the toxic load; these include the liver, kidneys, large intestine, lymphatic system, and sweat glands. We are exposed to toxins on the daily through pollutants, plasticizers, heavy metals, agricultural production, etc. New construction, carpet chemicals, paint, cleaning supplies, hygiene products, cosmetics, auto exhaust, contaminated food and water; the list goes on. There is an ever-increasing body burden from environmental chemicals and toxins. Detoxifying the body and supporting our organs of elimination is needed now more than ever.

We experience symptoms of toxicity when our cup overfloweth with accumulated toxins and our organs of elimination are overworked and cannot clear them fast or efficiently. Researchers are recognizing symptoms related to buildup of toxins including obesity, type 2 diabetes, metabolic syndrome, cancer, fatigue, infertility, allergies, behavior and mood disorders, and neurological conditions like tremors, headaches, and cognitive difficulties.

The process of detoxification involves many steps and there are a slew of reasons why the body cannot eliminate toxins efficiently. If you are constipated, deficient in specific nutrients, consume a nutrient-poor diet, are under stress, have a chronic disease, experience excessive inflammation, don’t exercise or sleep enough. Some of us just didn’t inherit the genes necessary for efficient toxin elimination.

The goal of a detox program is to ensure adequate nutritional support to ensure that toxins can be processed and excreted. For most individuals, a detox will improve symptoms and increase their sense of wellbeing. Many people who engage in a detox describe improvement in their pain and fatigue, better cognitive function, enhanced mood, better sleep, and weight loss..

The Detox Food Plan:

  • Reduces food triggers and focuses on specific nutrients to support detoxification and elimination pathways

  • Supports liver function with high-quality proteins. Lowers the body burden and reduces toxic exposure by only eating clean and organic foods

  • Is high in phytonutrients which are essential for gut, liver, and kidney function.

  • Provides targeted antioxidants to support liver detoxification enzymes and transformation of toxins (so they can be eliminated). Does not count calories. Supports healthy elimination of toxins through the bowels and urine.

  • Resets the hormonal system.
